“If you hear a story from thousands of people, are you getting closer to the objective reality?”

Conver-sync-tion is an immersive 3D volumetric installation that invites participants to navigate the fluid boundaries of truth and perspective. Using Depthkit and Unity, this experience sets three actors in a staged environment, each offering a distinct narrative derived from the same image. As visitors move through the space, approaching each actor's volumetric capture, they gather unique insights shaped by varying viewpoints. This interactive journey not only challenges attendees to synthesize conflicting perspectives into their own version of truth but also probes the essence of reality in a world dominated by subjective interpretations.

💡

This is meant to be an experience for adults to play and build relationships with each other as if they were kids again. The space invites everyone back to their kindergarten days with its brightly colored rug and pillow-like forms. Inspired by Ernesto Neto's large, soft, biomorphic structures, the two forms are designed to feel like a comfortable hug when held. But they are also controllers to a whimsical browser-based game where each player is a fiery orb. Squeezing and rolling with the controllers reveals fun visual effects and audio reactions that two players can uncover together. It is meant to become an opportunity for the people to form a bond together too.

We want to recreate the experience of ‘playing to build a new relationship‘ for adults.
